02 Aug Lilywhites land ex-Liverpool starlet
Mossley manager Dave Wild has pulled off another major signing with the acquisition of former Liverpool starlet Adam Morgan from Curzon Ashton.
Adam garnered attention for his goal scoring exploits during the 2010/11 FA Premier Academy League season. Morgan scored 18 goals in 16 games and was taken on Liverpool’s pre-season tour of the USA by then manager Brendan Rodgers in July 2012 and scored his first senior goal for Liverpool in a friendly against Toronto FC with an assist by Raheem Sterling.
He made his senior debut for the club in a Europa League qualifier against Hearts and also started the group game against Anzhi Makhachkala.
He made his Football League debut on loan at Rotherham United before joining Yeovil Town on loan.
Following his release by Liverpool he signed permanent deal with Yeovil in January 2014.
Morgan spent the first half of the 2015/16 season with Accrington Stanley and following a brief spell with Colwyn Bay signed for Curzon Ashton, famously scoring a hat-trick in a televised 2nd Round FA Cup tie against AFC Wimbledon.
Spells with FC Halifax Town and Sligo Rovers in the Republic of Ireland followed before he returned again to play for Curzon in September 2018.
Whilst with Liverpool Morgan represented England at both under-17 and at under-19 level.
