13 Aug Marshall and Roddan Complete Squad
Mossley manager Dave Wild appears to have completed his squad with the addition of two more impressive midfield signings.
Paul Marshall (age 31) is a product of the Manchester City Youth Academy and signed his first professional contract in 2007. In the 2008/09 season, he was given the squad number 46 and became a regular in the reserves.
He then had loan spells with Blackpool, Port Vale and Aberdeen. He then had spells with Walsall, Rochdale, Droylsden and a return to Port Vale in January 2012. He signed for FC Halifax Town in 2012 before moving up a division when he joined Stockport County in 2013. He then returned to the Halifax Town on the back of their promotion to the Conference National and made 39 appearances in the 2013/14 campaign. He signed for Bradford Park Avenue in 2015 and Alfreton Town in October 2016.
He joined Curzon Ashton in May 2017 and made 24 appearances across the 2017/18 campaign but was limited to just 10 appearances in the 2018/19 season due to injury and had a brief spell on loan at Glossop North End.
Although born in England, Marshall has represented Ireland at under 19’s. He was called up to the England under-20 team for the 2009 FIFA U-20 World Cup in Egypt and won 3 caps.
Craig Roddan (age 26) began his career as a junior with Wigan Athletic before joining the Liverpool Academy.
Following his release from Liverpool he joined Accrington Stanley on a short term deal.
A spell with Witton Albion followed before he joined Sligo Rovers in the League of Ireland Premier Divison where he went on to make over 50 appearances in two seasons with the club.
